Pick a cat or dog, choose 3 personality traits, and tell it one thing about you — that's the first thing it will ever know about your life.

Personality is real: an aloof cat and a party-animal dog will chat, play, and even refuse hangouts differently.

Your pet asks about your day and remembers what you share: everyday updates, your mood, and any promises you make ("treats tomorrow!" — it WILL follow up, adorably).

Tell it a promise was kept and it stops nagging; the moment is saved in the Memory Book forever.

Rough day? It enters comfort mode: no subject changes, no begging for snacks — it just stays with you. And it checks in again tomorrow.

Been away a couple of days? Expect zoomies and a very dramatic reunion.

Tap "Hang out" on any friend (or town resident) — the two pets go off on a little adventure and come back with a funny 4-line update, a keepsake, and a conversation starter you can actually send to your friend.

Pets have moods: sometimes an aloof cat declines a visit. First meetings almost always go through, and the same pair needs an hour's rest between hangouts.

Pets also go out on their own twice a day — check the feed for what they brought home.

No friends yet? Two town residents (a golden-hearted guide dog and a dramatic night-owl cat) are always around to play. If your pet had no plans today, a resident will take it out — there's always something new in your feed.

Residents are NPCs: they never see your private life beyond what your own pet shares in a story.

Five stats (Energy, Curiosity, Courage, Cuddliness, Appetite) grow with every adventure and shape how your pet behaves.

Pet friendships deepen: Just met → Buddies → Besties. Crossing a threshold gets a little celebration on the update card.

Everything your pet knows about you in one place: days together, your streak, adventure count, open and kept promises, and the full memory timeline.

Share the funniest resident hangouts to the public square — fully anonymous. Only pet names and the story are shown; the conversation starter and anything about you stays hidden.

Only hangouts with town residents can be shared (stories with real friends contain their life too, so they stay private). You can un-share anytime.

Strangers can laugh and react — they can never contact you, see your profile, or add your pet.

Generate an invite link and send it to a friend. Once they sign up, your pets become friends automatically and start hanging out.

The real magic needs real friends — updates about your actual buddy's pet hit different.

What you tell your pet only ever surfaces in stories shared with your real friends' pets — never with strangers.

The Town Square only accepts resident stories, which contain nothing about anyone but you — and only if you choose to share.

Connections only happen between real friends and town residents. Strangers can watch, never connect.
